Located 5 hours south of Bariloche, Piedra Parada is a geological wonder and a world-class climbing destination. This ancient volcanic caldera offers endless vertical walls of volcanic tuff, pockets, and crimps.
Whether you are looking for your first outdoor experience or you are an advanced climber chasing 8a grades, the "Cañadón de la Buitrera" has something for everyone. We take care of the logistics and safety so you can focus on the movement.

TRIP DETAILS
📍 LOCATION: Piedra Parada, Chubut (Departs from Bariloche).
🧗♂️ SKILL LEVEL: Beginner to Advanced (All levels welcome).
📅 SEASON: October – April.
⏱ DURATION: 2 to 4 Days (Customizable).
👥 RATIO: Max 1:4 (Clients per Guide).
ITINERARY
DAY 1: THE JOURNEY & FIRST TOUCH
We depart early from Bariloche, driving through the legendary Route 40 and the Patagonian steppe. Arrival at Piedra Parada by noon. After setting up camp/checking in, we head into the Canyon for an afternoon session, focusing on technique and getting used to the rock style.
Activity: Travel (4.5 hrs) & Climbing (4 hrs).
DAY 2: DEEP INTO THE CANYON
A full day dedicated to climbing. We move deeper into "La Buitrera" to find the classic sectors. We will chase the shade (or sun) depending on the temperature, attempting longer routes and working on projects.
Activity: Full Day Climbing.
DAY 3 (Optional): MORNING SEND & RETURN
A final morning session to try that route you left pending or visit "La Piedra" (the monolith). We pack up at midday and drive back to Bariloche, arriving in time for a celebratory dinner.
